Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-Tex.) has received the lowest possible score in an evaluation of voting patterns of Congressional and House members in legislation involving children’s issues:
The Children’s Defense Fund Action Council today released its annual nonpartisan rankings of Representatives and Senators based on their votes in Congress in 2004 on legislation affecting the lives of children. Individual members and state delegations in Congress were evaluated.
Scores of 100 percent represented the highest rankings — a score of zero is the lowest.
Neugebauer received a score of zero. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see Neugebauer’s Goose Egg. Seems a bit ironic, considering he said this, in regards to the Schiavo fiasco:
“I also hope that as we move forward from this dark day, we work to build a deeper respect for the sanctity of life, including the lives of the most vulnerable among us.”
Except for children.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) chimed in at 8 percent, and was among those who “rarely, if ever, voted in the best interests of children.”

Suggestion:You might want to include some of the stances this group has taken and the bills they favor because some people may have never heard of the Children’s Defense Fund Action Council before.
