We set out on Saturday, February 8 for a dusk flight over Central Texas. Lauren captured this approach into Lockhart just as the sun was setting.

It was a Sturgill Simpson kind of day https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgjh6W1OTWi/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CegP8HALGUz/ We get by with a little help from our friends Librarians and teachers are largely responsible for my early interest in the web, technology and communication. That’s why I’m grateful for the opportunity to better understand and address broadband disparities throughout Texas and listen to those who go without quality education, healthcare, and economic advancement due to lack of connectivity. As of 2016, only 69 percent of rural Texans could access high-speed internet. I’m very proud to travel with my amazing colleagues this week to do important and meaningful work in these areas. We’ll use this information to report on what this lack of connectivity means to communities and to our state economy. Stay tuned. #cubs #springtraining #mesa
